Responsibility in society

Social responsibility - regional and driving force

Here at DENIOS, we see taking responsibility for our community and future generations as part of our mission. We weigh social, ecological and economic concerns against each other again and again until we find a reasonable balance. We are aware that our business activities need to be in line with the interests of the community. DENIOS also invests in the local community and society in many ways outside of its business operations.

Donations to charity

DENIOS SE regularly invests in carefully selected charity projects that are active in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region, particularly those relating to the community, the environment, education, culture and sport.

Education is an investment in our future – and it bears the best fruit when the programme involves as much practical work as possible. As one of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region's largest employers, promoting and recruiting young talent is one of our top priorities. This is why DENIOS invests financial support in the local educational landscape, particularly the foundation of the FH Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences.

DENIOS also shares its values by supporting sports activities, thus helping to foster positive development within our community. We are passionate supporters of handball club GWD Minden and also sponsor local professional and mass sports associations.

In addition to all this, DENIOS has also supported many other projects, such as the relocation of the school conservatory in Minden, the regional nature conservation society for the protection of white storks and the local child protection association DKSB. Moreover, in 2022, a donation was made to 'Aktion Deutschland hilft / Ukraine' and 'UNICEF – Ukraine Help' in support of Ukraine.

All in all, DENIOS Germany donated €12,892 to charity during the current reporting period.

DENIOS Czech Republic donated €2,230 to local youth-level sport in Strakonice in 2022 and a further €200 in 2023.

Our French subsidiary did not make any donations during the reporting period. DENIOS Italy donated a total of €2,050 to local organisations in 2022 and €2,000 in 2023.

Environmental Heroes

Our trainees and students – they are our Environmental Heroes! Together, they are pursuing the goal of focusing more intently on the topic of sustainability – both within our company and beyond in our region. Our Environmental Heroes are an important advertisement for potential new recruits, offering DENIOS an additional marketing channel. They come up with effective actions that they then plan and implement independently.
